Mythic Entertainment’s new Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning is going beta on September the 7th. Unfortunately there is a catch. To get access to the beta, you need to either pre order the collector’s edition or standard edition of the game from a game dealer or EA’s website or by signing up for Mythic’s monthly newsletter for a random chance. This is therefore officially a closed beta with an NDA to test the game especially around server loads etc and an open beta is coming after that which anyone can join. People should be able to download the files tonight. Also with news that there are a few classes and capital cities removed so that timelines can be reached, people would be able to report their feedback to the world about the game. The game is officially released on September 18, 2008.
Do you think this game will be the next big MMO hit?

Have you ever had Gmail or any other web service provider go down that is critical for your business or personal needs?
Fellow Aussie gamers rejoice, for Fallout 3 will be legally available for purchase in Australia. The down side to this is that the "the reward and incentive for in-game drug use had been significantly toned down.” So because there is probably less visible usage of people injecting morphine for pain relief or using items that may resemble drug items like syringes, it passed to received a 15+ rating here.
Will you be buying this game at all and if so will you buy it from an Australian retailer?
There are a lot of things people do to win an Xbox 360 and a copy of Soul Calibur 4. There was a competition recently to dress your best/worst in full home made costume as your favorite Soul Calibur 4 character. This guy won. There are other pictures who didn’t win on that page as well down lower. I wonder if he had all that material in his closet…
It is a sad day indeed when one of South Park’s most loveable voices (even though he has left the series) has died at the age of 65. Isaac Hayes was known as the guy the South Park kids would go to advice for and usually sing a very inappropriate song to them, as well as singing the theme song for Shaft and early 70’s disco music.
Since July 29th, Namco Bandai has announced that they have sold over 2 million copies of their latest game. Probably due to the previous success of the franchise and the ability to play as a Star Wars character helped sell the game.
