Third Assassin’s Creed could star female assassin Wed, 14 Oct 2009 09:32:00 +1100

Even though the sequel to the original game is not out yet, plans are in motion for a third game, providing number two is making money. Ubisoft has come up with the idea of a female assassin, but they need to find the right time, place for it to happen. A hint has been dropped about World War 2 due to the fact that men were off fighting and whole countries were being supported by women in the workforce. The second game in the series is due out November 17 on the Xbox 360, PS3 and PC, and will be set in the Renaissance.

Would a female assassin be appealing in the third game?

Basic plot for Resident Evil: Afterlife revealed Mon, 12 Oct 2009 09:14:00 +1100

In the fourth movie in the series, Alice still takes on zombies and the Umbrella Corporation while trying to survive. The basic plot for the movie is like this: “In a world ravaged by a virus infection, turning its victims into the Undead, Alice continues on her journey to find survivors and lead them to safety. Her deadly battle with the Umbrella Corporation reaches new heights, but Alice gets some unexpected help from an old friend. A new lead that promises a safe haven from the Undead leads them to Los Angeles, but when they arrive the city is overrun by thousands of Undead and Alice and her comrades are about to step into a deadly trap.” Sounds similar to the last movie? With Milla Jovovich back as the title role, Ali Larter reprises her role from the previous film and Wentworth Miller from Prison Break joins in the fun. The movie itself is set for release August next year.

Will this be a good movie or just be similar to the previous movies in the series?

Windows 8 and 9 could be 128 bit Fri, 09 Oct 2009 09:11:00 +1100

Even though Windows 7 is not out yet properly, news comes to hand about future technology endeavours, accidentally leaked by one of the Microsoft boys. On a site called LinkedIn, which is based on social networking for business associates, the senior researcher who had the details on his page wrote that he was “Working in high security department for research and development involving strategic planning for medium and longterm projects. Research & Development projects including 128-bit architecture compatibility with the Windows 8 kernel and Windows 9 project plan. Forming relationships with major partners: Intel, AMD, HP and IBM." Even though it was yanked, it can still be found here in Google cache. It is interesting to say, but 64 bit CPU’s have been out for a number of years, yet Windows 7 will still be available in 32 and 64 bit flavours, so if Windows 8 will be 128 bit like it seems to be planned, then 64 bit will probably be supported as well.

Do you think that if this occurred that it would be good for consumers?

U2 want their own Rock Band Thu, 08 Oct 2009 09:26:00 +1100

The Beatles Rock Band edition is pretty release with the Beatles back catalogue, a major first for them. Now U2 have changed their minds after seeing this and want in. They have said “We definitely would like to be in there, but we felt some compromises weren't what we wanted," he said. "That could change. I love the idea that that's where people are getting music, and we'd love to be in that world. We'll figure something out. What The Beatles have done, where the animation is much more representative of them, is what we're interested in, rather than the one-size-fits-all animation. We didn't want to be caricatured." It seems that realistic representations of the fab four helped U2 ease their doubts about it and could further expose more people to their music if such a game eventuated.

Would this occur? Would it be a good game? Or does it seem U2 are getting greedy and want to exploit all the markets?

Jack the Ripper game in the works? Wed, 07 Oct 2009 09:27:00 +1100

One of England’s most elusive and deadliest serial killers could be resurrected again. EA has just trademarked The Ripper and the application covers use of the name as it relates to games, movie production, and entertainment services. With Dante’s Inferno wrapping up shortly, this looks like the next game that will be worked on by developer Visceral Games. No concrete release date has been announced or what systems this game will run on has been released.

If this was made as a game, how do you think it will be made?

Call of Duty coming to the big screen? Tue, 06 Oct 2009 08:28:00 +1100
Posted by Pits
Call of Duty is one of those franchises that started out well and the sequels keep on coming out in rapid pace. With the latest addition of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 due for release on November 10 this year, the wheels of steel in this franchise have not stopped. The name Call of Duty has been trademarked for films in regards to "Pre-recorded movies featuring comedy, drama, action, adventure, music, theatrical performances and/or animation." While it does seem to be the first step, there is no official announcement yet to go with this.

If a movie is indeed released, will it be good and who will star in it?

Preview of Max Payne 3 Mon, 05 Oct 2009 09:06:00 +1100

Preview of Max Payne 3 Well the original guys behind this game are no longer doing it and it shows by the deviation from the original 2 games. If you are not familiar with the new story/concepts, take a seat, coffee and keep on reading. Max is no longer a police officer, but a security guard in Sao Paulo Brazil. He has bulked up, lost some of his hair and that’s about it. Bullet time remains and a new cover system has been added. If you click here, you can see some of the gallery as well to see the changes. It will be released in March 2010 on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC.

Will this be a better game than the first 2 games in the series?

Assassin's Creed II will have 'a bit of sex' Fri, 02 Oct 2009 09:21:00 +1000
Posted by Pits
It is one of them words that are like a double edged sword, some people perk up when they hear it, others go oh whatever/protest, depending which side of the fence you sit. Ubisoft have confirmed that this activity will take place, but what happens in the story will remain a mystery it seems until the game is out. If it adds to the story or not is a different issue and as long as it does not attract unwanted attention, it could make the game better or if done incorrectly, it could be subject to news stories, law suits and teen boys looking for patches for the game. It is out on November 17.

Will this end up a good game or just be wrecked by unnecessary additions?
