Well guys and girls, we have almost hit the bottom of the barrel. I have had repeated messages given to me with people offering their disgust and horror about this development. Left 4 Dead 2 which was due for release in November has been refused classification in Australia for “realistic, frenetic and unrelenting violence.” So what went wrong? In the report it seems the melee weapons are causing some of the issues with realistic damage, as well as the swarms of infected which you have to kill to survive. Due to there not being an 18+ gaming category, this game will have to be modified and rechecked by the OLFC to hit the games shelves legally in Australia. This is the biggest victim this year of the broken ratings system and it seems we need changes from becoming a nanny state. Please continue the discussion and ways on how to legally deal with this constant problem.

Already near the 2 million sales mark since its release on the 25th of August, this thing does not look like slowing down too much. People seem to be very happy with this game. After sending people to the asylum after capture, the fun does not stop there. So if you are looking for a new game to try, this might be a good one to try out.

Nintendo has filed a Trademark for The Last Story. Even though it was filed in Japan, it was actually written in English, which usually means that it is going worldwide. Last time something like that happened earlier this year was Blizzards Cataclysm, which has turned out to be a different type of expansion for WoW. Keep an ear out for an announcement from Nintendo about this.
The DJ series of games are gathering steam in the battle for your money. Daft Punk are the latest artists to join the game and will have 11 mash ups included. In a surprising twist, as you play as them mixing up songs, you get to wear their famous helmets that helps them to keep disguised. They will be featured along side DJ Jazzy Jeff, Eminem, Jay-Z, DJ Shadow, Tiesto, and Grandmaster Flash. The game itself is due out October 28 for the Xbox 360, PS3, PS2 and the Wii.
To anyone who has not heard of Courtney Love, sit down and draw a deep breath. She was Kurt Cobain’s partner who was the lead singer of Nirvana before his untimely death. Basically after three years of negotiations, she finally gave Activision permission to put Cobain into the game. So what’s the deal? Well basically it seems from this source that Nirvana and Love gave permission to use the music, but not his image. Other sources have said she helped Activision to design the digital representation of Cobain. So she is fuming on twitter in some non sense posts and threatening to sue with posts like "For the record this Guitar Hero **** is breach of contract on a Bullys part and there will be a proper addressing of this and retraction." Which is also followed up by "Wow theyre just LIQUIDATING kurt and IM THE DEVIL? I HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH GUITAR HERO I LOATHE IT AND FIND IT ODIOUS KURT WOULD HAVE TOO." For most people Apple is a company of innovation. With Steve Jobs back after a liver transplant, he has announced some new goodies for Apple fans. iTunes 9 has been announced with a new redesigned store, integration with the latest crazes like facebook, twitter and Last.fm. Another doozey is the new iPod nano. This baby will have an inbuilt camera, ability to pause live radio and you can count how many steps you take.
This is a cool app for the iPhone, the ability to play those classic Commodore 64 games from yesteryear on your all in one gadget. It was finally allowed to be sold on the store by Apple, but it has been rapidly removed. Basically people have found out that you can drop into operating system of the emulator itself and run BASIC commands at will. The app itself made the top 20 for sales, so it is obvious people want this app, but seems Apple is worried that you can use your iPhone as a Commodore 64 and do computer related stuff. No news yet when it will reappear for sale.
